Hypnosis for Weight Loss

The road to success is dotted with many tempting parking places.

Are you struggling with weight loss? The fundamental thing to realize when you approach the journey of self-improvement is to realize that your psychological state isn't always the same. Regardless of how motivated and determined you are today, there is always going to be that moment of weakness and bad decisions that will guide you astray tomorrow.

Hypnosis can help you avoid the common pitfalls of weight loss by tapping into your inner mind and changing your relationship with food and promoting a more mindful approach to living. Ultimately, the goal of hypnotherapy is to change you as a person by re-educating your subconscious mind

Hypnosis for weight loss can help you,

  • Feel full, yet energized after every meal!
  • Crave foods that are tasty and nutritious!
  • Refresh your curiosity and refine your taste!
  • Make better choices when dining in or out!
  • Become motivated to exercise regularly!
  • Be the slim and trim person you want to be!

Hypnosis is a form of creative relaxation that allows your unconscious mind to become open to new ways of thinking. By supplying your creative mind with messages to regulate your cravings and metabolism more effectively, your body can naturally adapt to these new ways of thinking. Under hypnosis, your mind has access to resources that you don't consciously have access to

Poor goal settings and desire for instant gratification is yet another reason why many of us fail to achieve the outcome we desire. During our sessions, I use tools of Neuro Linguistic Programming to help your inner mind set S.M.A.R.T goals

The trouble with not having a goal is that you can spend your life running up and down the field and never score. - Bill Copeland.

Hypnosis can help change your self-image blueprint and raise your standards

Your self-esteem can drastically effect the long-term success of your weight loss journey.

If you know how a thermostat works, then you can easily understand how your self-image works. When you set a thermostat to a point, and the temperature drops below that point, what happens ? That's correct. Hot air blows and the temperature raises. On the contrary, what happens when the temperature raises above that point ? It stabilizes back down.

Similary, your self-image can help or hurt your success. One of the first things we do in weight loss hypnosis is to put you in a position to succeed by re-inforcing a strong self-image. This, not only helps you stay motivated, but also gives you a sense of certainty and inevitability of your success

Are you learning from feedback ?

There is no such thing as failure, only feedback. As a part of hypnosis for weight loss, we delve into your previous attempts at weight loss to uncover and resolve the beliefs and behavior patterns that has caused you to fail in the past. We will associate resourceful psychological states to keep you consistent and focused, even after reaching your goal

Sassy's Experience

“I was referred to Imraaz by my trainer to help me in my weight loss program. I was generally doing well, but was prone to intense food cravings (particularly sweets!), which when I gave into them, one treat easily turned into 20! Needless to say, that could be a killer for my goals. My trainer suggested that I give Imraaz a shot and I’m so glad I did! I wasn’t sure hypnosis would work since I’ve never tried it before but within less than 5 min., he had me feeling very comfortable! Incredible! he was super professional and helpful and totally helped me curb those food cravings”

Does Dieting Alone Work ?

Diets can be effective. But in the long term, dieting alone is not effective.

“You can initially lose 5 to 10 percent of your weight on any number of diets, but then the weight comes back,” said Traci Mann, UCLA associate professor of psychology and lead author of the study. “We found that the majority of people regained all the weight, plus more. Sustained weight loss was found only in a small minority of participants, while complete weight regain was found in the majority. Diets do not lead to sustained weight loss or health benefits for the majority of people.”

Hypnosis Over 30 Times as Effective for Weight Loss

Investigated the effects of hypnosis in weight loss for 60 females, at least 20% overweight. Treatment included group hypnosis with metaphors for ego-strengthening, decision making and motivation, ideomotor exploration in individual hypnosis, and group hypnosis with maintenance suggestions. Hypnosis was more effective than a control group: an average of 17 lbs lost by the hypnosis group vs. an average of 0.5 lbs lost by the control group, on follow-up. - Cochrane, Gordon; Friesen, J. (1986). Hypnotherapy in weight loss treatment.

Two Years Later: Hypnosis Subjects Continued To Lose Significant Weight

109 people completed a behavioral treatment for weight management either with or without the addition of hypnosis. At the end of the 9-week program, both interventions resulted in significant weight reduction. At 8-month and 2-year follow-ups, the hypnosis subjects were found to have continued to lose significant weight, while those in the behavioral-treatment-only group showed little further change

Hypnosis Subjects Lost More Weight Than 90% of Others and Kept it Off

Researchers analyzed 18 studies comparing a cognitive behavioral therapy such as relaxation training, guided imagery, self monitoring, or goal setting with the same therapy supplemented by hypnosis. Those who received the hypnosis lost more weight than 90 percent of those not receiving hypnosis and maintained the weight loss two years after treatment ended
